Tuna Fish Patties
You can enjoy these tuna fish patties either hot or cold.
Ingredients:
- 1 (12 ounces) (350g) can of white tuna packed in water, drained, and finely flaked
- 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup minced green onion
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- Lemon Dill Sauce:
- 1/4 cup nonfat chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon dried dill
Directions:
Combine all the ingredients, tuna, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, lemon peel, and green onion in a large bowl. Flour your hands lightly and form the mixture into small patties. Use a large nonstick skillet over medium heat lightly covered with cooking spray. Patties should be golden brown when ready, usually about 3-4 mins per side.
Sauce:
Mix all ingredients in a small pan and heat until warm. Add a small amount of flour and mix with a whisk to thicken the sauce. Lightly brush the sauce over the patties and serve.
